Okay, I’m guilty.   As you all know I unfortunately can’t dedicate as much time, energy and resources to AttitudeFirst.com as I should and want to.   Truly, I’ve been a little “unethical.” I’ve been doing a lot of this while at work.   Well yesterday that all came to the collapse.   After being asked by IT to research the usage of some broadband cards that we use and discussing with them some options it became very apparent that our employees are not following company policies. Of which I am one.   Admittedly, I have utilized company resources for my own personal needs.    I’ve justified this with the fact that I am “on call” and that I use some of my personal resources to help the company during my personal time. So it all works itself out in the wash. Right? Well, it doesn’t matter because my better side got the best of me. So this morning I had an unbelievably quick meeting with my supervisor about my ethics and was informed that my work is considered above par and that it was appreciated that I would be more conscientious of company policies.   So what do I do… I publish this article… but with approval. Go figure?

Regardless, I’ve taken a few steps to insure that I am using A1 resources more for A1 needs.   I broke down yesterday and ordered one of the new smart phones so I can update the site from any where.   Additionally when I on my personal time like sitting in the waiting room of the doctor’s office and he is 45 minutes late for our scheduled appointment… I can get some work done.

With that said, I am also putting together a Facebook Fan Page so not only can you get updates at Attitudefirst.com you can also keep up with our activities on the “beloved” Facebook.
I’m not sure if all this technology improves training or not.   In itself it can be very time consuming but I will succumb to the cultural pressures and “embrace” the communicational-technology age.

So there really are 3 major “techno” upgrades we are hoping to launch in the first quarter of 2010.
  1. Facebook/Twitter updates so you can stay informed.
  2. An online calendar that you can schedule training sessions.
  3. Online Training videos.

So to get all this going we’ve got a lot of “Get At It” to Get going… I will probably spend a good time this weekend working on the Facebook Page and understanding the Smart phone (If it get’s in before Monday).
