Really this is day 3 ½ . Last night I knew it was going to be tough to get through. I got a small nap after work and drank tons of water. For SECS training I asked the class to indulge my needs a little so we spent the entire class listening to soft music and stretching. It really helped relieve my muscles from the tightness associated with the fasting and I felt a huge surge of energy. I told Mike that I probably wouldn’t make all of the MMA training as I was expecting the fatigue wave to set in.
At 8:00 I ran in and got a small glass of apple juice and mixed in the cleansing fiber I discussed in the previous post. At 9:00 I got to feast on a huge class of fresh juiced carrot juice (Thanks Jea). I took the next phase of the cleanse and headed to sleep at 10:00. The juice obviously had some natural sugars in it as I was wide awake. It took awhile for me to relax and finally fall asleep.
Woke this morning at 4:15 and felt better than I had over the past three days. Absolutely no real hunger pangs. Weighted in at 189.6. I made me a cup of hot water with honey, lemon and cayenne. Did some minor chores and headed off to “Men’s Group.” Feeling completely free from the cloud I was feeling over the past few days.
It is now a little after 10:00 a.m. and I’m feeling pretty good a few waves but the fatigue waves last only for a few minutes. Heading to a conference at the Biltmore and know there is going to be food that I will have to avoid.
We’ll see how tonight’s training goes and if another glass of fresh juice will keep me going!
