Attitude First Fight Team Captures 2nd Title
Matt Dell Featherweight Champion
alt
On Saturday Night, Oct. 3 Attitude First had the honor of being the Co-Main events at Rage in the Cage #135. The Fight Team’s members were Omur Cor and Matt Dell.

Omur was scheduled to fight a guy out of Tucson but unfortunately  Omur's opponent was a NO SHOW.   He is coached by UFC Vet Drew Fickett out of Tucson.  Omur handled it very well. He was disappointed and very ready for this fight.   Look for Omur to have a real opponent on Nov 7th in Prescott.
So the now Main Event was Matt Dell for the RITC Featherweight Title. Matt was the last fight of the night and the fans were really worked up for this fight.

It starts and his opponent Ray Robinson throws a wicked head kick that lands on Matt.  It knocks him down and Ray pounces on him.  He has top position and is dropping punches and hammer fists with bad intentions.  He is looking to finish the fight right now.  The ref is moving in and thinking about stopping the fight.

Matt regains his brain function and creates some space.  He then works Ray into his full guard.  Now Matt is working some great defense and Ray can't connect with anything.  Matt works a rubber guard position and Ray stand up and slams him to the ground.   Matt then sets up a triangle and locks it on.

Ray tries to slam him but Matt under hooks the leg and almost rolls him to mount.  Ray is trying to defend the choke but can't get out.   Matt keeps working it and eventually Ray TAPS OUT!!! Okay sounds like a lot but actually all this happened in just over one minute, thirty seconds~

Matt Dell is the new Featherweight RITC Champion!!!

The kick to the head scrambled Matt's short term memory.  After the fight he didn't remember what happened.   He was fighting on pure instinct and did great.  Congratulations to Matt and everyone that helped!!!

Special congrats to Matt as he captures Attitude First Fight Team’s second title. JR Schumacher (now residing in Colorado) captured the Middle weight title in 2007.

Thanks to everyone that came to the fights to support our team.
