Looking for Training Tips...
Where to Begin?   Unfortunately, so often individuals are looking for something that will give them the “quick fix.” As it seems to be proven time and time again you only get out of things what you put into them.   There just isn’t a magical pill that will give you the perfect physic, superior health, peace of mind and personal success.
So with that said the first tip we can offer has to be with Level of Importance.   What is it that the individual is hoping to get out of their training?   Regardless of the level, MMA training has many opportunities for improving life for participants. From the individual who is looking to lose a few pounds… to the individual who is seeking a proficiency in self defense… to the individual wanting to seek a career as a competitor, the Mixed Martial Arts properly coached, has many different opportunities for personal improvement.
However, it is important that each individual embrace the level of involvement that is realistic with the time and commitment that is a support to their life goals.   The coaches at Attitude First are excited about personal improvement and performance enhancement and are dedicated to helping every member achieve their goals.
Goal setting is the next important tip that we recommend.   Without setting goals that are realistic, measurable and well defined the opportunity to realize personal growth and improvement are limited. The coaches at Attitude First believe in personal goal setting and are always available to work with each member to set both short and long term goals and to outline a plan to reach those goals.
Once every member has established their commitment level and set goals that coincide with that level we can begin to define the training tips that will best help to enhance the individual growth and development.
There are some training aspects that we call have a generalized principle.   These tips are universally true to most participants. For example one of the first things that virtually every individual needs to learn is to breath. Believe it or not breathing is not as intuitive as one would think. Sure besides the obvious… “If I stop breathing, I stop existing… forget about training!”
Here’s a simple tip: “Exhale when exerting force!” Sure everyone remembers to breathe in. In fact, that’s easy but when starting something physical that you might not be familiar with… a person is usually “uncomfortable.”   This discomfort really stems from being tense.   Breathing in and holding your breath tends to support that tension.  But the problem is it causes fatigue. This makes the activity seem more difficult than it actually is.   This unfortunately leads many individuals believing that they might not be “cut out” for the training.   Ironically, when you are able to relax it is much easier to realize success and improvement. The key to relaxing is breathing. Recognize the cycle here?
The coaches at Attitude First Training Center have many more tips available to help you enhance you performance and improve your life.   We recommend you stop by and watch a training session. We are confident that you will be impressed!
